Sound and Fury
Sound and Fury combines music, theatre, dance, spoken word and song, in a late-night melting pot of sights and sounds. It’s a performance art experience in a spectacular party format.
The event started in 2012 as the after-dark after-party for Art, Not Apart. It has run every year since, adding extra shows outside of the festival along the way – notably the winter edition ‘Cold. Winter. Hot. Party’ and end-of-year celebration ‘Arty. Farty. Christmas. Party’. Director Chenoeh Miller has received wide praise for her work in Australia and abroad, including directing the performance programs of multiple festivals in Canberra though her company Little Dove Theatre Art.
In early 2018, Sound and Fury toured to New Zealand Fringe with support from an artsACT grant. The season garnered critical acclaim and was quoted as the ‘best party in Wellington’. For the 10th anniversary of Art, Not Apart in 2020, the party held its largest event to date at Canberra’s iconic Albert Hall with over 600 attendees and featuring a “best of” line-up of cast members and performances.
Adults-only and after hours, Sound and Fury invites you to join the party and experience a wild symphony for the senses. Available for bookings at venues and festivals.
